We've decided to applaud attempts by a neighboring county to restore a Civil War monument for the educational and historical role it can play in reconciling opposing views. We've copied Fort Myers Mayor Kevin Anderson on this correspondence for the obvious hope that Lee County may soon follow the example of our neighbor to the north.
