Recently our Roundtable shared a variety of articles and information with the members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Major Footman Camp in Ft Myers. Much of the information can be traced to articles that can be accessed at the hyperlinks below.
Articles of Current Historical Interest – SWFL CWRT
The following articles were written in response to how the past events have influenced the present. Although related, these articles fall into three categories; those related to the institution of slavery both in the United States and around the world--including those related to refuting the philosophy of Critical Race Theory—and those related to a campaign to restoring the public memorial to Robert E. Lee in our county which bears his name. In many respects these topics are related.
